Sample Character Concepts
Canis Markelhay: This human fighter hails from Rostland where he grew up idolizing the exploits and philosophies of the vaulted Aldori Swordlords. Of common birth, he hopes to test his mettle and joining an expedition into the Stolen Lands seems like a perfect way to do that.
Sword Scion: Canis begins play with an Aldori dueling sword and gains a +1 trait bonus on attack rolls and combat maneuvers made with such blades.
Wild Eradin: This human druid was raised unremarkably in Restov but after a hunting expedition in his adolescence where he freed a trapped bear cub everything changed. Having tasted the pleasure of life in its purest, most primitive state, Eradin rejected the trappings of civilization and wholeheartedly embraced the challenges of the untamed wilderness.
Eyes of the Wild: Eradin has spent enough time in the wilderness that he is attuned to its ways and gains a +2 trait bonus to Perception checks made in natural settings.
Xion the Arcane: This human wizard was selected at birth by a secret sect of arcanists to learn their craft. A gifted apprentice with intense concentration, he took well to the disciplined study of the mystic arts and has come to the Stolen Lands in pursuit of lost ruins and ancient lore.
Focused Mind: Xion’s ability to block out distractions and focus on the immediate task at hand grants him a +2 trait bonus on concentration checks.
Flynn Rider: This charming human rogue with a heart of gold simply dreamed of easy living and wealth but made the mistake of falling in briefly with the cutthroat Stabbington brothers and has been on the run from them and the law ever since. Heading into the rugged wilderness seems like a perfect way to lie low until the trouble blows over.
Brigand: Flynn begins play with an extra 100 gp in ill-gotten gains and also gains a +1 trait bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, and Sense Motive checks when dealing with brigands, thieves, bandits, and their ilk.
